Praetorian USA, Statement Against Hate

Published 06/01/21

Praetorian USA values equity, diversity, and inclusion as core principles, and we remain committed to those ideals.

Last May, after the murder of George Floyd brought renewed calls for social justice, we gathered as your administration team and came up with ways to support anti-racism.  The recent trial for George Floyd's murder, the murder of Adam Toledo and Daunte Wright, and violent attacks against Asians, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders highlight an urgent need to make a public stand and speak out against racism.

We strongly condemn the recent violent attacks and hate crimes against Asian Americans, Asians, and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in several parts of the United States, including in the Bay Area. The latest report of AAPI hate crimes from Stop AAPI Hate indicates over 3,795 incidents reported from March 2020 to February 2021 with California reporting the highest number and percentage of hate incidents. (Statistics from Marin County Free Library)

We are also concerned about and condemn the recent surge of anti-Semitic hate crimes in the U.S.

We recognize the systemic racism and bias that has been built into this great country, and pledge to work towards a better tomorrow with a plan of inclusiveness to fortify our already diverse workforce.

We stand in solidarity with our BIPOC, Jewish, LGBTQ+, AAPI staff and all groups facing bias, hatred, and intolerance.

We understand that statements are not enough, that words of comfort are not enough.  We believe that we must all work collectively toward meaningful actions that interrupt racism and combat a climate of fear and hatred against Black, Indigenous, Latinx, AAPI, LGBTQ+, Jewish and other marginalized groups.

We are committed to dismantling systemic racism in our industry by continuing to examine policies and practices that may burden people of color.  We also remain committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce. We are proud to be able to say that we have such a diverse team, and we will continue to work towards increasing representation in our management.

As an event services company we were hit hard by the pandemic and the next few years will be rebuilding years. Throughout the pandemic we have worked to diversify our focus in the industry and offer more services. Now is the time to rebuild our team with even more inclusionary practices. If you know of anyone who is looking for work and would fit well within our diverse community or if you have any questions, please contact us through this website; Praetorianusa.com or email employment@praetorianUSA.com.
